Leon County’s Youngest Elected Official Featured in Magazine

Tallahassee, FL. - Leon Countys youngest elected official, Thure Caire, is featured in the July issue of Florida Trend. The article titled Young Guns features sixteen 20-somethings who are helping to shape business in Florida. Three of those selected were from the Tallahassee area.

Caire tied with Will Royall from Orlando as the youngest person featured in the article. The majority of the young professionals featured were involved in development or Public Relations. Caire was the only elected official featured. According to Florida Trend over 60,000 issues of this magazine were printed.

"I'm excited about this honor - I feel it is more a recognition of potential than achievement," said Caire. "I'll continue to work to bring accolades and accomplishments to Leon County."

Thure Caire was raised in Leon County and is the incumbent for ORSWCD Group III. Thure has more than six years of Water Quality experience, including work with a private water quality lab, the United State Geological Survey (USGS), the City of Tallahassee and independent research.
