Tallahassee - The Caire Campaign is pleased to announce the endorsement of Ochlockonee River Soil and Water Conservation District Supervisor Yasmeen Barnes-Nkrumah. “I am fully confident in Thure's abilities and knowledge of the position, and I feel that there is no better candidate for this position,” said Supervisor Barnes-Nkrumah. Barnes-Nkrumah has served on the Ochlockonee River Soil and Water Conservation District (ORSWCD) since 2004 and serves as the ORSWCD secretary.

To date, Thure Caire has earned endorsements from six ORSWCD supervisors. “I am thankful for Yasmeen’s support. All those familiar with my background and the purpose of the Soil and water Conservation District have been very generous in their support,” said Caire, “We have run the best campaign ever seen for a ORSWCD position, and I look forward to seeing our work pay off on November 7th.”

The Ochlockonee River Soil and Water Conservation District is a five member board that serves all of Leon County. Under a combination of state and federal laws conservation districts perform duties and bring funds to their district to assist landowners in protecting natural resources by implementing best management practices. The board members serve four year terms and are not paid for their service. For information about our local conservation district please visit http://www.votewithcaire.com/orswcd.html.
