Chair Scott Matteo's Endorsement

As Ochlockonee River Soil and Water Conservation Chairman, I am pleased to endorse Thure Caire as the Ochlockonee River Soil and Water Conservation Group III Supervisor. I am endorsing him for the following reasons:

Thure is a team player. He works very well with the others, including his fellow supervisors. He is energetic and synergistic. It is my opinion that the other others feel comfortable on a team that includes him. Teams with Thure as a member can be counted on to accomplish more than the individuals can collectively accomplish by themselves. Thure puts the welfare of the team above personal gain.

Thure strives to accomplish the mission. Thure is interested in the conservation movement and dedicated to the District’s goals and objectives, which include: assessing soil and water conditions, educating the public, and advocating beneficial conservation policies. Thure’s technical background makes him very suitable for this position.

Thure is a free thinker who frequently comes up with creative ideas. The board of supervisors is frequently called upon to brain-storm and come up with ideas that establish board direction. Thure is an active participant with significant input.

Thure is a leader. His role with the District has required him to take leadership positions in a wide variety of areas. He has willingly taken on and successfully executed these responsibilities.
Thure abides by traditional principles. He responsibly executes his duties in a manner that does not compromise the Board’s integrity.

Thure’s positive attributes have played contributed to the Board’s significant past successes. I firmly believe that the Board will be able to more effectively parlay past successes to successes on the next level with Thure’s continued participation.
